Sorry to leave you hangin... As it turns out I also had a problem bleeding
the same caliper that was binding so I removed the bleed screw and found the
bleed screw had crossed threads and was letting in air! As I had not removed
the screw it must have been a poor rebuild, the other caliper is great. So,
I called NAPA and told them one of the two calipers was both binding and has
a bad bleed screw and they said "No problem, what year is the car?" After
discussing the fact that the two calipers I got may have been on the shelf
in their Jacksonville, Fl warehouse for years they find one in Atlanta, Ga.
Being the Thursday before the holidays they will not have the replacement
until Tuesday, darn... So, Tuesday I'll take bad the bad one and get a
replacement. I had decided to try to take the car for a spin and see if the
caliper worked better on the road but the bleed screw was too much to deal
with. I'll let you know more next week. Thanks for the interest!!!
