The angled rods were used for 5-main bearing engines series GB through GF,
1965 through 1968 model MGB production. It could be that you have a 1968
production MGB titled as 1970 (commonly titled as date of initial sale in
past times), and maybe the head was changed at the time of last engine
rebuild time (very common).
