At the risk of sounding like ANOTHER ad for this guy, our own Peter Caldwell
(nosimport@mailbag.com) is THE authority on lever shox. Please contact him
off list and ask his advice. These shox will last a very long time if
rebuilt correctly, and they are not that easy to rebuild in your home shop.
Peter's main business is lever shox, and he dabbles in imported auto parts on
the side.

I am simply a satisfied customer, and I consider Peter a friend, although
we've never met. (Read: He doesn't pay me for this!) Peter has also posted
many times about lever shox. If the archives are woorking, check there too.

Send
your old ones in for a core(do not disassemble them, they need to be
complete) The cost varies a little. Check your British car mags. White
Post and Apple Hydraulics are two companies that come to mind.
You can usually get a club discount. The new valves can be used another
time or maybe sell them. Not to discourage you but sometimes even the new
ones leak and you have to repeat this all over again. The quality control in
this area is extremely poor. >>
