Michael, Don't throw in the towel yet. I'm assuming you have wire wheels and wire wheel adapters. If you haven't figured it out yet, there is a hole in the wheel adapter that is no doubt covered with grease so you can't see it. Wipe down the adapter really well and just probe around a little bit in the area that lines up with the cotter pin. You'll find it. Use the longest needle nose pliers you have to straighten the split ends of the cotter pin and you can wiggle it to freedom threw the hole. Good Luck, Mark |
