MGA Wire Hub

I appear to have a damaged thread section on my MGA's front wire wheel hub.
Unless repeated carefull tries are made, the winged hub wheel retainer wants to 
ride the the crossed threads despite attempts to repair with a triangular file 
edge.   Does anyone know of a thread chaser that will help the situation, or 
any other method to fix?   Any help appreciated.
