Quite simple Enrique,
Have the connector removed from the sender and have it held to a ground
point for a few seconds; do not keep it grounded all the time, because it
will fry the gauge!
Have someone look a the gauge when grounding and the gauge should quickly
move to hot.
If this works, the sender is defect - not cheep but easily to replace (you
will need lots of force though!) Mine was defect as well and ohh it was so
fit tight to the engine, I had to stand on the spanner in order to get it
moving....
If grounding does not show anything, check the wiring - use a proper
diagram.
If there is voltage at the gauge and the grounding is noticed by the
voltmeter there, the gauge is expected to be faulty.
Good luck!
Cheers,
Hans

Subject: temp gage no work
Hi list, other than checking for bad connections on my temp gage and sender
on the head, how can I tell if the temp gage and sender are working? TIA,
Enrique
