I guess what I was really trying to get across is that the cooler became
standard on the B and there must be a reason other than adding cost to the
car. Just how important is the cooler for the B engine, more show than go
or absolutely a necessity. I am resigned to a bottom end rebuild this
winter but still want to know if the cooler is required to lengthen engine
life.
