Great stuff Scotty!
Better than in the Netherlands, where the medal winners were toured around
in carriages with real horses and even worse: Cadillac '59 and '59 (with the
highest fintails).
Aussies have more taste!
Cheers,
Hans

Subject: MG's at Olympic parade
Hi all,
yesterday 'Thursday' Adelaide hosted the return of the Olympic
athletes. They rode on the back of convertible cars down the main street of
town, before a crowd of enthusiastic spectators
The bulk of the cars were MG's from TC, TD, TF, MGA and MGB's, what a hoot
it was, the noisiest crowd so far according to the three athletes from the
men's hockey team riding on the back of my LE.
Other cars on the parade were Mazda Miatas, Cobra replicas and two Volvo
four seat convertibles, surprisingly no Triumph cars.
It was a privilege to be part of this event, especially participating in an
M.G.
Regards,
Scotty,
Adelaide,Australia. With an 'Olympic', MG 8^)
