Hi Ho All,
I'm deeply saddened by the news of Mike's passing. I will miss his
comunications very much.
As for Mr. Macy's engine problem: I'm sure Glen Towery has a short block
built and ready to go sitting on a shelf in his shop.
Doug Russell ? name's familiar but................ :-) He lives like 10 - 12
miles from me but does he ever call? Noooooooooo!
In any case I'll be at Rocks next Saturday.
I'm proud to annouce that I have returned yet another MGB back on the road
after 10+ years of being layed up. Was a short ride today for it's first run,
still need to get come kinks out. Looks like rolling hell but starts on first
crank has 50 of oil pressure at idle after warm up and, I got to admit, I was
pleasantly surprised to have to O/D engage when I flipped the switch.
Adam's car has returned from the body shop with repaired driver's side. The
car had been hit back in April and the insurance company for the guy who hit
it finally coughed up a check last week. Used a new (to me) shop and they did
a fantastic job. They will be doing my 80 B, which is presently in primer, in
the near future.
My attempts at getting rid of the 58 Austin A95 has producted no taker so I'm
officially removing it for the "available cars" list and beginning work on
it. Last time it ran was 1969. Guessing I'll have it road worthy before the
first snow.
Yikes!! 7:00 PM ? Gotta run out to the local car gathering.
Safety Fast,
David Deutsch
