The last few days have been uncharacteristically chilly here in North Carolina,
and
so I've been driving my 79B with the top up. It just shouldn't be that way
here in
early September.
Anyway, with the top up, I hear more sounds from the car than otherwise. One
I've
been hearing has me a little concerned. There's some kind of noise coming from
the
back end that only occurs when I'm lightly feathering the throttle. It's not
there
under decent acceleration, or when I'm completely off the throttle. Just when
I'm
trundling along barely on the throttle to keep speed on a flat road.
It's hard to describe, but I was wondering if someone might be able to relate
to this
experience.
I have recently checked the oil level in the differential, and new universal
joints have
been installed recently.
