Ron: IMO I would paint the adapter and the filter the same color as the engine. It would blend in well, and would not stick out. People might not spot the change with just a glance. This would be especially true if you want the car close to the original appearance. If you go this route I'd suggest that you save some paint from the engine, buy a dozen or so filters, and paint them all at one lick. Blake |
