Frank,

     The shifter in my non-od 77B has the relief for the wire.  I have switched
from PBBlaster to the rust-buster called Busty.  IMHO, it works better than
PBBlaster and doesn't stink up the garage.  Don't waste your time with WD40.
I've been amazed at what this Busty stuff has done for me in disassembling the
'new' basket case TD, called Arby (as in rust bucket).  I started out using
PBBlaster and switched to Busty when the PB ran out. I'm now a convert.
