I think I read somewhere that a good seal around the oil dipstick is essential to maintain good vacuum in the engine. (I think I got that right--this is well outside my area of experience or knowledge.) The dipstick on my 79 B is pretty sloppy, and I'm sure it's not sealing well at all. Is there any trick I can use to reestablish a good seal around the top of the dipstick tube, or should I just buy a replacement dipstick? -- Keith Gernert 79 MGB -- |
