One of the dealerships I am affiliated with told me all excitedly about the
white B they took in on trade. Real nice car with only 27000 miles on it
they said. They said they paid $5000 for it and would sell it to me for
only $5500.;^) Told them I was not interested. Not a bad car. Reasonable
repaint, new top, no smog, weber DGV, an LE spoiler, and one of those
stripes that says MGB in the same place the LE striping goes. Little rust
starting in obvious places. Didn't get to look underneath. Fuel tank vent
into the boot (hose fell off). They said needed brakes. Fan sensor in
radiator wired on (wasn't there just a thread on that?) Based on pedal and
interior wear probably not 127K miles, but certainly not 27K either. Based
on what I paid for my LE last winter, I would say maybe a $3000 car. Not
trying to sell this at all, in fact, I suggested that after they have it 30
days and don't sell it that they consider ebay and take their lumps. Watch
for it.<g>
You don't suppose they were lying to me about what they paid do you?
