Not my choice - if the electronics fail (as mine did) no amount of banging
will get it going again and you are stuffed.  A conversion is OK as long as
you carry a set of points and are prepared to change them at the roadside.
IMHOAE (and experience) the points are quite reliable enough and give
warning when they are on the way out.
