I had something similar on my 80 B, where the radio wouldn't work after the
car was started unless you rotated the key a bit in the lock mechanism. Too
much rotation would kill the engine. I cleaned out the ignition switch and
put it back slightly rotated and the problem went away. It's pretty easy to
try; just one screw holds it in.
