Hi Bud!
I'll bet that steel vent line is plugged. The line on my '79 is plugged
up at both ends which leads me to believe that the entire line is filled
with rust or dried up gas residue. I saw a possible point of blockage
noted on the Moss web site a while back. It is the fitting where the vent
line passes thru the boot floor. It is a point of restriction where bits
of rust can collect. Maybe you will get lucky and it will be a simple
fix.
