Hello list,
Talked to an old friend the other day who still has his red 72 MGB. Last
time I saw the car was over ten years ago . I don't remember much about
the condition of the car. As I recall the paint looked faded, the bonnet
was off and the engine was partially dismantled. As far as I know the car
has been in the garage ever since.
He told me that 5 years ago the engine was rebuilt, but has only been
driven once a short distance at about that time and has not been run or
driven since. He described the body as in fairly good shape but the
drivers side floor board is rusted through. He has a replacement floor
pan . He is about to move and says he might be interested in selling. He
has no idea what to ask for the car. I am going to see him Tuesday
evening to try and rescue the car.
My question is. What price range might this car be in.
I know I haven't given you much to go on, but even a ballpark figure will
help get negotiations going.
I will report on my findings Tuesday night.
