Picked up the 60 MGA half basket case (disassembled but rolling
chassis) from Keith Turk's friend in Alabama. Brought it home
last week 1200 miles on a borrowed trailer with no incident. Then
took it 10 miles to consult with my body shop; she overrode her
chocks backwards on acceleration and slightly folded up the
unprotected rear body. I should have known better because it was a
dark stormy afternoon - Lucas was at work early.

The good news is the car was as described - solid and rust free
except for the inner sills. Paid the money and made a couple of
new friends. Threw in a two week holiday on Florida's Forgotten
Coast, back roads of Alabama, Blue Ridge Parkway and Carlisle
weekend, and kept the wife happy. Canadian Customs gal asked the
value declared, length of stay, many questions about liquor
acquired and then waved us thru.

Garage stuffed, but will give birth.
