Last summer's rear suspension rebuild on my CB '73 BGT required
me to remove the brand new stock leaf springs I had just installed and
replace them with 1" lowered leaf springs from Moss. The brand new 'stock'
leafs, jacked the back of the car up in the air. The 1" lowered leaf springs
made the car sit very level.
My ride height (from wheel center to chrome strip) is 13.5"
+/- 1/8" all the way around.
question: Now that I'm doing the front, I need spring info.
WHAT SPRING SOLD BY WHOM, ARE THE RIGHT LENGTH
FOR MY SETUP?
If I put stock length in will it now sit too high in the front? Moss sells
uprated springs that are shorter, but stiffer.
480 lb. Rate Coil Spring 264-385 $49.95
Fits rubber-bumpered roadsters and lowers car
1 inch. Sold individually.
550 lb. Rate Coil Spring 264-395 $76.90
Lowers chrome-bumpered cars 1 inch, rubber-bumper
cars 2 inches, and GT models approximately 3/4 inch. Sold individually.
anybody have any other sources? suggestions?
I NEED INFO ON ANYONE WHO HAS INSTALLED THE 550LB SPRINGS...
WHAT'S YOUR RIDE HEIGHT? Handling? Stiffness? Swaybar used? changed?
