The fan noise is a common one for heaters with warn bronze bushings. You can pull the motor and replace the bushings and brushes for a few bucks. Or try a motor rebuilder. For about 40 bucks you can probably get it rebuilt. Barney: I pulled my motor and replaced the brushes and lubed (not replaced) the bronze bushings, and within a few days the noise came back. So now I've got to pull it again to replace the bushings. Oh well, live and learn, eh?? Kind regards, Tim. '69 MGBGT mona |
