Burping the Cooling System

I of course had to refill my cooling system after replacing the water pump,
but it didn't take nearly as much antifreeze as it should have so I'm
guessing that there must be air trapped in the system, that and the
temperature gauge doesn't move about the C where it use to work fine. How do
I get any trapped air out?
