Another thing often overlooked - the Petronix trigger is not particularly
'gap' sensitive - it will fire as the magnetic trigger passes a certain
point, unlike points which will fire at various times depending on gap.
If you have a 'skacked' distributor bearing, rather common actually, the
timing of the point set up will vary all over the place. The Ignitor will
still fire reliably at the same time.
If you don't have a worn shaft, use of the Ignitor will not add to wear, as
there is no pressure on the cam from a rubbing block.
