Fellow listers,
this Sunday, April 2nd, this event organised by the
Sporting Car Club of South Australia, promises to be a real treat for
motoring enthusiasts.About 400 cars representing nearly every year between
1900 and 2000.
Some of the Marques listed in the 'Promo' in the newspaper are,
Wolseley, Darracq, Rolls Royce, MG, Austin, Jaguar, Buick, Studebaker, De
Dion Boutton, Hotchkiss, Clement Bayard and Stower.
[ Unfortunately, no mention of a Riley Imp] 8^)
Carol and I have an elevated, window seat, in the dining room of a local
Motel, and, after a relaxing breakfast, will enjoy a view of the cars as
they motor past about 15 feet away. If only I had the MG J2 restoration
finished !! sigh. the weather is reported to be fine with a temperature
around 22oC. I will be outside the restaurant to cheer on the participants,
and to listen to the glorious sounds as they pass, some Sunday mornings are
just MaGic.
Two sleeps to go! 8^)
