Not quite, Robert.
From Comfort take FM 473 towards Sisterdale. This road goes back
under I 10, and is quite straightforward for 5 miles. Just at about 5
miles from Comfort the road appears to go straight ahead. In fact, 473
makes a right turn (Still heading towards Sisterdale) whilst the road that
goes straight ahead is Old # 9 (That leads to the bat tunnel and
Fredericksburg on the back road), ergo, make a right turn here and continue
along on FM 473 for about a mile. The road signs say that there is a road
off to the right - which there is-to Waring and Welfare - but
.................. there is also one off to the left. This is
Upper Sisterdale Rd. Turn left onto this road. You will immediately
cross a cattle grid, and a few yards on, another one. These two encompass
the farmer's pregnant cows, and is, therefore, called the nursery
. Follow this road for 2 1/2 miles, crossing a total of 5 cattle grids,
until you reach #238 on the left-hand side (Opposite a large, but now
empty, stock tank).
That is it. You've found us. Robert's description of the rest of
the procedure is correct, except I think he must have been visiting some
people other than us - his kind comments about Fisher and I are very
exaggerated - I promise you. There are somewhat fewer chickens than there
were, including the rooster, thanks to Max the Rott.
