fyi, for those project minded.
In doing a fuel injection project for my 77 mgb I the following that I now
want to sell.
I have the complete ignition system installed on my mgb, I have modified the
distrubtor to work in my mgb. this system has a computer module with a knock
sensor to figure out the proper advance, it uses rpm and manifold vacuum.
This system works flawlessly, comes with the coil, wiring harness and
igniton computer, knock sensor.
I am backing out this system to get some of my investment back and to pay
for my upcoming v8 project. If someone were to buy these parts from volvo or
a volvo yard it would be very pricey, the distrubitor is a hall effect unit
and is now a custom piece. If you are in seattle, you can drive the car.
Anyway make a realistic offer for the ignition system or the stuff below if
interested. this is as close to finding/obtaining working parts for a bolt
on system that anyone is going to find in the sub x000 price range.
(from ad on volvo site)
a complete fuel injection system from a volvo 240dl wagon. it was an '86 I
believe. b230ft
I have
a complete intact fi wiring harness
ecu and bracket
a partially complete intake manifold, (modified for other application, and
non usable), but has throttle return pulley, etc.
2 throttle bodies
2 fuel rails
2 pressure regulators
1 middle fuel pump, entire tray with fuel filter, etc
1 idle compensator, all hoses
2 sets of injectors, (8)
1 air cleaner box (w good air cleaner)
1 used air mass sensor
hoses between throttle body and air mass sensor
all related hardware.
1 new temperature sensor
I was going to put this system, the LH- Jetronic on another engine, and
literally stripped the donor 240dl bare.
I have the complete igniton system too, but I modifed the distrubutor to run
on a mgb, and I will try to sell that intact as-is. works quite nicely btw.
I want to sell all of this in one bunch. I probably have other related
things too, I just can't quite remember it all. believe me when I say that I
stripped the 240dl down to bare metal, the only thing I left was the fuel
pump in the tank and the rusted-in o2 sensor, anyway make offer. great
quantity of parts for putting efi on a 4 cyl.
possible trade for buick 215 parts or a t-5 transmission with a .65 fifth
gear.
thanks, Ted Stowe
