Hi Judy,
Welcome to the list; I'm pretty much a newbee myself. I would recommend
several books to start.
First get the Haynes repair manual. You can get it at just about any Pep
Boys or AutoZone auto parts store for under $10.
The next book I would recommend is "Guide to Purchase & D.I.Y. Restoration
of the MGB" by Lindsay Porter. You might find it at Barnes and Noble. I
believe that Moss Motors and Victoria British (a.ka. Long Motors) also sells
it.
