Whoa! Don't throw that console away! That may be the AMCO console tht
included the ashtray, cigarette lighter and is there a hinged lid on the
console with a speaker at the back end of it by the battery tray? Very
rare item in good shape.
I've got one of those Special BGT's of 67 vintage. They also came with
identification badges proclaiming them to be "Special Edition" that was
affixed at the end of the front fenders on both sides, under the chrome
trim at the front door edge. Have you got those on your car? Special
wood steering wheel, Amco gear shft knob and outside racing mirror on
drivers' side. Take a look on ebay, someone is selling the ad for the
car that ran in all the motor mags at the time.
