Thanks to all who posted.
After a fruitless check for spark today, and draining the battery, Josh
found that he had left his ignition kill switch on kill and we had been
trying to start a car that wouldn't start.  He got a jump and it started
up.  We think it was just flooding, but I also pulled the green  plug as
was suggested. Thanks to all for your contributions, and now I can get
my car down to Tucson next semester.
