Just replaced the foam seal at the front of my soft top, and can vouch for use of soap. Dish detergent doen't work well, and I didn't have a bar of Ivory, but I snuck up into my daughter's room and borrowed her bottle of kid's soap bubble stuff--works great, cheap, easy to find...
