I've got to say, the "ugliest" MGB I've seen was a GT that someone
brought to the Palo Alto Day on the Green a few years back. It was
mostly an oxidized red, with lots of dents, and had Bart Simpson
painted on the bonnet, holding a slingshot. It also had pieces of
cactus tied to it. It actually crossed over from being ugly to being
an "Art Car"-- I was so impressed that I kept a photo of it on my
refrigerator for a long time. Don't know if it is still around
somewhere...
The greatest LBC travesty I've ever seen was (is?) an Austin Healey
3000 that some self-proclaimed "auto stylist" here in Santa Cruz
created. It had all sorts of sculpted crap on it, covering just
about every original panel--a huge spoiler, a weird prow-like scoop
on the bonnet, side skirts and spoilers. I wanted to take a picture
of it for Road & Track's PS section--just never had a camera handy
when it made appearances.
