Experimental MG's

A friend e-mailed me a picture he took at a meet in England a week ago, of an 
experimental MG that was made around the late 80s, using a TVR as the basis, 
still with TVR interior, but with modified bodywork and MG grill.

Anyone heard of this car (it's a little later than my normal period of 
interest)?  I can e-mail a picture if anyone is interested.
