Just to calm down for a moment... I am getting my 'B out of the shop
this week (!?) and I am wondering what to expect from the brakes.
While it was in getting a new clutch and having the gearbox pondered for
days on end (nope, they still are not really sure why it was spitting it
out of second gear... but synchro fixed... maybe this will fix it) I
asked them to throw in a set of decent brake pads.
What should I expect from the Metalking (well that is how it sounded
over the telephone when they assured me this is what I was after)
brakes... I asked for brkaes that wouldn't fade under stress and so I am
getting the GT V8 pads (larger size).
Does this mean that I am danger of putting myself through the windscreen
when I push down as hard on the brake pedal as I was used to? Is it
going to take a bit to get used to? Anyone have any experience with
this brand... or similar (from the lousy description)?
Yes, I am getting these because the standard 'road' pads turned to
cardboard after a few laps of this Super Sprint stuff.
