Is that a screw base or bayonet base bulb? The 69 B uses a very small
bulb with a bayonet base that sounds like you describe (without going
outside and measuring it) for the high beam warning light and ignition
warning light. Also not at Radio Shack, I had to get it from my local MG
shop and Moss Distributor.
Good luck.
Skye Poier had this to say:

>I just finished a disassemble and cleaning of the radio unit from my 'B, an

>out. Glad to report its working just like new now, except for one thing;
>there is a small light bulb inside that illuminates the face and I am having
>trouble finding a replacement. The bulb base is 9mm long and 5mm diameter,
>the glass is circular and 6mm diameter. The base has '12V 1.5W' written on

>Does anyone know of a source for a replacement bulb, and if so, where and

>Thanks, Skye

Runs great,
looks particularly bad since some SUV clown backed into it.
If you're near Mountain View, CA,
it's the red one with the silver bootlid.
