Based on Richard Aspden's "Classic MG" the EX175 was powered by a bored out
TF engine (1466cc) what a none bored TF is I dunno. 182 was origionallly
built for the 1955 Le Mans Race. This and several other races at the time
were mared by bad crashes and the world started to take a closer look at
racing. Not a good thing. The EX 186 had a lightened MGA chassis and was
powered by a prototype twin cam engine. Apparently " the only prototype was
broken up and no photographs remain, the only existing evidence of it's
existance being a wooden scale model". This is the car that eventually went
on to be an "A". YMMV
