Hi Charles, and welcome to the list. My '74 sometimes
has that problem with the teeth lodging in the
flywheel. Try moving it with a wrench (I use vise
grips myself) and then see if it'll start. If you
move the starter with the wrench and it still won't
start, then that's not your problem.
