For my 60 MGA, my regular insurance company (GEICO) wanted $600 per year for
minimum liability (25,000 here in NY) and would cover the car only at blue
book value (not sure what that is, but definitely LOW). When I called the
vintage insurer (whom GEICO recommended, to their credit) they wanted $116
per year for $100,000 liability and $12,000 replacement value (car's not
show condition --yet-- so that's probably a fair-to-high estimate of value).
I'd say DEFINITELY call the vintage insurer.

I am still looking for a nice chrome-bumpered "B," but was wondering what
others out there pay for insurance on their cars? Is there any savings in
going with a special classic/antique type insurance company, or better just
to stick with your current company? TIA.
