> What is the best way to replace u-joints without a vice?
The procedure recommended in the Haynes manual involves using your
knockoff mallet and a socket small enough to fit through the yolk as
you drive the U-joint out. Use a block of wood to brace the yolk on,
keep you fingers, toes, and any other appendages out of the way.
Visualize your boss, mother-in-law, annoying neighbor, spouse,
what-have-you and use aggressive strokes.
When this fails, take it to a shop.
