Just got a phone call from a friend living in a rural part of New York,
asking where he could get a set of new front springs for his 1978
Roadster. Seems he is on his second set from Moss, & it is dead, flat,
partially collapsed, shot, etc, after less than a year of limited use.
The first set went bad at 18 months. All I am hearing is horror stories
about springs, mostly springs from Moss.
Is there a source of MG springs that is of good quality, with some sort
of warranty? Do all the springs ultimately originate from Moss, or are
there other manufacturers? Is the problem limited to rubber bumper
springs?
Tom & I would appreciate any help or info the list can provide. I will
be in the market myself in a few months when I lower the '76 roadster I
just bought, with a early crossmember & new springs.
