In prep for "dropping" my engine, I pulled off the starter. Boy, was it covered in crud! Easy enough, scrape off the heavy stuff, then clean with de-greaser. But, I opened it up(why not?). Inside I found it to be relatively clean, with the exception of some "greasy dust". How should I clean this. Can I just use degreaser and a tooth brush. Then rinse really well with water adn let it air dry for a couple days? Thanks, Tim |
