Bill,
Haven't seen the pics yet, but I can appreciate your situation. I had the
same thing happen to me last summer in my 79 traveling west on I-40 at 70mph.
The hood came up and I had to duck when it wrapped itself over the top of
the windshield. I immediately pulled over (what else), removed the hood, and
left it by the side of the road. The whole ocurrence lasted about 10
minutes. I even took photos of the car with the hood (bonnet) wrapped over
the windshield. The amazing part was that the hood and hinges were
destroyed, but not a scratch on the car otherwise! A Saturday afternoon, new
bonnet, and a quart of paint remedied the situation. I hope this never
happens to my MGA, as I would truly be sick!
