Backfire, spark plugs, etc.

Can't add to the splitfire data, but some may remember that I put a set of
Autolite platinums in the 77 and had problems in less than 2000 miles.  Many
(including the local "mechanic") thought it was valves or worse.  Changed to
standard Champion plugs over 5000 miles ago and not a problem since the
change.  Barney had virtually the same situation with the Autolites.  YMMV
