Thumb-nuts behind gauges

I give up.  The local hardware stores have nothing which fits the
gauge-retaining thread type on my 70 BGT.  Does anybody KNOW what pitch
it is?  8-32 and 4X.70 are close, but not right.  I am using nylon wing
nuts but would prefer the real thing.
