Nina:

        The timing cover seal does come in some of the MGB conversion
(lower) gasket kits.  It does vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.  I
normally assume that the seals are not included in the kit.
        Also the valve cover hold down bolt seals are not included in the
head set and need to be purchased seperately.

        Years ago i asked my dad about this and he informed me that seals
are only replaced when they are torn or leaking.  This is from a man who
grew up during the war years in England.  I guess every penny counted.
