Was there only one Old English White over the years? There were tons of BRG colors. My research shows OEW as ICI #2379 as Don Pikovnik posted. BUT I also show Ditzler/PPG number 8177. This contradicts a PPG number 8894 given to me by a Jaguar restorer for an XK120. Did Jag have a different white than the BMC cars? Also, I looked at a spray can of Ford Wimbledon White at Autozone. The lid looked the right shade, but since the contents were lacquer, I was not interested. John Olman |
