Max, Good idea, but dont use rubber cement. Find a shop that repairs oriental rugs (the real ones). When moths attack the back of a rug and there is the possibility that the tufts will pull out, the repair person often puts a latex backing on the rug to hold the fibers in place. It would work a lot better than rubber cement. Also, dont cement the floor of the boot or the carpets for the footwells. If they get wet you want to be able to remove them for both carpet and floorboards to dry. Jack |
