If you buy an MG, get one that is 1974 or older. The newer cars' emission
systems are terrible- you'd be much better off with an older sound Civic S
than any post-1974 MG. They were prone to self-igniting due to faulty
carburetors combined with catalyic converters. Plus they were gutless and
handled poorly. The U.S. safety and emission laws were just too much for
British Leyland to deal with with limited money and lame engineering.
