I don't see why not,If the cyc. walls are ok.I have a 73 and my pan comes
down with the engine in the car. unbolt the rod and take it out the top,
install new from top,rod bearing clearence,secure reassemble.
Alot of motors have been done this way. Good luck. Carl E.
