78 MGB Engine size. HELP!!!!

What engine size came in the '78 MGB?  I thought I should have a 1.8 but 
and engine tag shows a 1.1.  Has my engine been replace? I don't have to 
much detail right now so if some one can tell me for sure how to tell what 
engine I do have and what engine I should have that would be great.
