Snap On and others make a pencil sized magnet that will easily fit into the spark plug hole. I would rotate the engine (by hand only) to get the piston up close to top dead center. Then use the magnet in that cylinder to probe for the missing piece. You have to do the engine rotation by hand to try to feel the broken piece on the top of a cylinder wedge against the head. If you hit any interference, stop before the metal piece is forced to do some damage. Good fishing! |
